  1. Thank you for being here. I just started 5 days ago and must say, though at times it feels like you’re killing me, lol I truly appreciate you giving me the chance to learn comfortably and privately in my own home.

  2. Hello, I have been a Therapeutic Yoga Instructor for 25 years. I have been a yoga
    practitioner for 34 years.
I started with yoga due to chronic migraines. I needed something more peaceful than loud music aerobics.
I joined your site because I just want some one to teach me for a change. You are younger than me, but one day you may know what I mean.
Thanks for all your hard work, and I am ordering one of the yoga tops! Thank you, and I will be watching. Blessings, Deedee

    1. Hi Deedee,
Thank you for your kind note! It’s true, we all have things to share with… and learn from… one another. I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to share with you!
      Namaste,
      Courtney

  3. Getting any exercise with a 5 month baby is difficult. your 20 min sessions are perfect as they are about the length of baby nap time. I do the beautiful morning routine after breakfast and relaxation routine at night. I am wanting to add in your weight loss routines but am unsure how far to push my body 5 months after childbirth? My sister is a fitness coach and advices on the cautious side, would three 20 min sessions a day be overly ambitious?

    1. Hi Zoe, Hooray for having a morning and evening routine that you like! As for adding in a weight loss routine, I say go for it! I understand the side of caution, but you are the one who knows your own body best, and it sounds to me like you are ready for more 🙂 Three 20-minute sessions a day is absolutely a well-balanced practice. Keep in touch, and keep up the progress.

  4. I started your videos about 4 months ago and did them consistently for about a month. At this time I noticed, quite rapidly, my balance, posture, breathing and over all well being, began to improve, not to mention visible weight loss. It made me excited. Alas the Christmas season and I got a bit slack. But, back into it again and I have to say; a huge thank you to you Courtney. You make yoga easy to add to ones daily routine for those not keen on group classes. I aim to keep yoga as a part of my life as it also helps me combat my depression and anxiety. So thank you and Namaste.

    1. Jai! (that is an exclamation of victory!) Thank you for sharing, and it is my pleasure to make yoga accessible. There’s a natural ebb and flow to practicing, and I am happy to hear you back in the flow 🙂

      Namaste~

  6. Hey Courtney! I just signed up for the week pass. I’m interested in doing the year membership but I wanted to start with the sunrise series and proceed from there. Unfortunately, I either don’t have access to it or I simply cannot find it. My account has already been drafted. Could you help me please? Thanks so much and I am so looking forward to starting my journey!

    1. Hi Shelly, I’m so glad you are starting the sunrise series yoga journey. It’s up and running now and I hope you are enjoying the videos 🙂 I look forward to continuing the program with you!

  7. Hi Courtney I have been following yoga for the past 10 years or more now I have had a total knee replacement and pins in my shoulder both on my right side this was in 2011when I had a fall I find it pain full when doing certain poses when on knees can you please help regards sue

    1. Hi Sue, thanks for reaching out! A yoga practice can be very beneficial after knee and shoulder surgeries with the right modifications and support. Having 10 years of experience can be both a benefit as well as a challenge because while it’s nice to have the background it can sometimes be hard to change what we’re used to being able to do 🙂 So hang in there! I’ve also gone through times of injury due to other activities that took months and months to recover well enough to even do a downward dog. I didn’t think I would ever be able to do arm balances again but now I am back into my handstands! So be patient and take the time to explore where your strengths are in your practice.

My recommendation for you is to practice the standing poses with arm variations. This will help to strengthen your legs, ankles, and hips + keep your shoulder joints happy. We want the shoulders to stay mobilized while gaining strength to release “knots” and scar tissue. (It’s a daily process) 😉

For example… Warrior One and Eagle Pose will be great to keep in your practice, & Humble Warrior with the fingers interlaced behind you as you fold to the inside of your front leg. I suggest not doing any poses on your knees or that puts any pressure near your knee joint. Do seated poses and lying down (on your back) poses rather than on the knees – for example reclined pigeon pose, seated cobbler pose and legs up the wall.

Here a couple of videos to start practicing with and I will post some more that will be helpful for you later on this week.

  9. Hey!I’ve been doing or practing yoga with your videos too, and I love it. My boyfriend and my mom also have joined me sometimes and they loved too.
It’s a great job of yours. Thank you.

  10. Hi Courtney,
Really enjoyed your beginner back pain video. I watched it once and now I can’t seem to open any of your videos.
    Any suggestions?

    1. Hey Chris,

So many people watched the free videos this month that we blew past our limit with the video host! I am working to get the free videos back up ASAP.

I do have exclusive members only videos that are always available, if you would like to help support Yoga Current you can view those videos here –>https://www.yogacurrent.com/members-only/

  11. Hi Courtney.
I’m 69 year old lady and I just beginning to discover yoga I live in the countryside in El Salvador, Central America and here the only thing I have to view the world is my computer and that’s how I discovered you ok. I just want to thank you for sharing your videos which I enjoy doing them together with you. thank you and God bless you.

  12. Namasta Courtney. Thank you for being here for beginners like me. I love, love watching your sessions and have learned so much for each, and have noticed a big difference in my bends and stretches in just few weeks. God Bless you!!

  13. Hi Courtney
I have been through some pretty nasty traffic accidents, serious surgery culminating in a fall at work. I felt such a tremendous loss when I was unable to walk and the weakness and such brought about a lot of mental distress. In my search for answers to discovering why I was so ill, how to help myself recover I came across your work on youtube… wow how inspirational! I have watched for about a year now and slowly as I have recovered find I can now do many of the poses… I have used many holistic therapies in which I am learned to aid my recovery but watching your friendly, professional videos helped my mind find a great space to recover. Many thanks, blessings and best wishes Deborah

    1. Hi Deborah, I am grateful to hear that the videos are helping in this way with your recovery! I am currently working on a new program to guide you deeper into each pose that will be posted in the membership page. I think you will really like the premium content that I have been hand crafting 😉 and I definitely recommend it for you to check out 🙂
Abundant blessings to you as well ~ Namaste

  14. hi

i am unable to view your weight loss videos for more than 21 secs. is there a way to view the whole thing?

    Thank you 🙂

  15. Hi I saw your video I liked it very much .I am 60 yrs i will be very glad if you would kindly help me in suggesting what kind of yoga is suitable for me, looking forward for your reply.

  16. Hi Courtney-

I’m a complete beginner, but started watching your videos on YouTube the past few months. My wife is giving me trouble about it, ha, “you and Courtney”, but it really is helpful. I’m a 6’6 pro drummer and I spend a lot of time sitting and not always eating the best foods… So this feels very liberating and healing for me, though challenging no doubt..

    Thanks!

    1. Hahaha, Hi Jeff! That’s awesome. Tell your wife hello for me! 🙂 Being a pro-drummer I can imagine is A LOT of work, but yes…. sitting all the time. I am happy the yoga is giving you liberation!!!!

  17. I have wanted to try yoga for years. Up until now I have been doing Qigong, but I feel I need something different. I am recovering from a skiing accident and just got my neck brace off (c6/c7 fusion). I started looking for someone that could get me started in yoga. I found you on YouTube and after only three days…I feel GREAT! I’m currently reading the Warrior Pose and it has me believing that I can get my body back in shape through yoga. I am fifty one years old and running is just too hard on my knees. Thank you for devoting a lot of time and energy to help beginners like myself. Namaste

  18. Hi Courtney, You have inspired me to do yoga, I love how you talk through the video like a friend I would be hanging out with. Everytime my granddaughter comes over the first thing she wants to do is your yoga with me. Its an awesome way to bond with her – she is 10. Thank you for all you do.

  19. Sawubona (hello) Courney, I really enjoy your videos they are really helpful. My body structure is – top heavy and I need to tone my arms and stomach area. Which video’s/exercises should I be focusing on to help tone & trim my upper body?
Sala kahle (goodbye) from South Africa

    1. Hi Sino, Sawubona! Have you practiced along with the 3rd video in my weightloss series? It will be a great one to start developing your upperbody and abdominal strength and toning those muscles.

      Courtney

  20. Dear Courtney,
Thank you for your videos and your sharing but can you help me to understand if i have to switch from day one to three and then again?or how does it work?

  21. Hi Courtney! I started on your yoga for weight loss series a couple months ago just to try it as a way of relaxing, and now I’ve made my way up to the third video after a lot of practice. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for your careful, thoughtful instruction and how much it is not only reshaping my body to look fitter and healthier, but also improving my own peace of mind. You are an excellent teacher and I look forward to seeing more from you!

  22. Courtney,
Thank you so much for your yoga classes on YouTube! I struggle finding videos online that I enjoy because most seem fabricated and just not very organic but yours are the most organic I have found. Love your sequences but also love how genuine and real you are. I’m accustoming to yoga the best I can because it can definitely be a struggle for me but you are helping me loads. Best wishes to you!

    xo
    Mariana

  23. Hi Courtney, firstly, many thanks for sharing your wonderful videos and making home yoga such a rewarding experience. I love your power yoga series, especially the one that goes past 40 minutes.
I have been practicing yoga for over 10 years, and have, in the past year, embraced it with more heart, soul and vigor after I turned 48. Your videos are most inspiring and I love your candid personal approach.

  24. I love your video, and i enjoy practising your video. It helps me feel more relax. I often have lower back painand neck pain can i do alll the exercises? What i know is i have to strengthen my abdominal muscles to support my lower back !

  25. I’ve been following your videos for over a year now and try to do one of your classes at least 4 times a week. You’ve helped me through stressful times, a broken ankle (still recovering but nearly there) and given me and my body new strength. A huge big thank you. Namaste.

  26. Courtney, I have started practicing yoga recently, and I can’t tell you how refreshed and relaxed I am feeling. You have introduced me to immense wealth of yoga and I enjoy every bit of your yoga videos and try to learn from them.

    1. Hi Sunil,

I appreciate hearing how the yoga programs are helping you, and am honored to be able to share this practice. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with me. I look forward to continuing these offerings 🙂

      Namaste,
      Courtney

    1. Hi Christopher,

With consistent practice, I do hope that you can speed up your recovery time. I have had a great response from others who have used these videos and gained great results while healing from injuries. I will be happy to help you along the path and recommend if you would like more specific training with me to join with the Pose Guide program, or the Yearly Membership. With either program I can keep a consistent email conversation with you to answer specific questions and be available as a guide for your progress. I also offer 1-on-1 private sessions via Skype!

  28. Great yoga videos. Loves yoga, have been to some yoga classes which I enjoyed very much. Currently I was diagnosed with bursitis of the shoulders and also has lower back pain, I assume from lots of bending, since I love to garden.Have been doing your yoga videos for lower back pain which helps. Can you recommend any of your videos for bursitis of the shoulder which is due to repetitive movements from heavy
lifting which I do every day. I am a cake decorator so I need my arms and shoulders to be in good shape.
Thanks so much for your videos,
    Helena
    Annette

      1. Thanks courtney. I will check the videos. Keep up the great work you are doing. I do your videos for lower back pain at the moment. You are such a beautiful person on the outside as well as the
        inside!!!!
        Thanks,
        Helena Annette

  29. I so wanna thank you Courtney for fantastic inspiring work you do.
I’m a housewife with active little daughter. For quite some time i was looking for convenient physical activity i can do to gain energy and well-being and to fight against of stress and depression. I’ve tried jogging, Pilatos but all the time i had to push and convince myself to begin workout.
Now for about two weeks i’m following your videos on Psychetruth and it feels Good. Now I start any new sequence with great pleasure. I’ve tried nearly all sequences from your playlist. Some of them still very challenging but it just motivates me to go further. I do 2-3 sequences a day as it’s very convenient time duration.
Also i’d like to mention that I’ve watched some yoga videos from other instructors but yours are most attractive to me. Apart amazing demonstration i really like your explanations and instructions which are so complete and very clear, easy to understand – what is important to me as not native English speaker.
After all these practices i feel much stronger and more balanced. I can easily do now Tree pose with foot at the thigh and some other one-leg balance poses, even can do crow pose for few seconds, which seemed to me impossible at the very beginning of my practice. Although strength and tone poses are still tough and often i lose my breath but i really relieve and relax at the stretching part of sequences. I’ve always been quite flexible, but now became even more and i just love it.
    Thank you again very much.
By the way I like your curly hair more than other hair styles 🙂

    1. Hi Svetlana, Thank you for your note. It is very encouraging for me to hear what you enjoy about my style of teaching!!!! I am also very encouraged that you have been able to enter crow pose, and are feeling more confident in Tree. Those are big steps. I know that rewarding feeling of making progress into something that once seemed impossible, and am happy you are experiencing it. Way to go!

  30. Hi I came across your video for carpaltunnel on YT and it really helped me a great deal. Btw, I know of someone with tendonitis in the wrist. Will the video help?

    1. Hi Sora,

Yes I believe that this video will help with tendonitis in the wrist as well as carpel tunnel. I am glad that it has provided you with relief!!!! Please feel free to pass the video along. I am so happy to be able to share these techniques for people to address pain and heal from injury.

      Namaste,
      Courtney

  31. Hi Courtney,
I watched your back pain video on internet. I like the way you teach. It relaxes me to hear you talk through all
yoga moves, I currently suffer from lower back pain, shoulder pain, and sometimes when i wake up in middle of night my hands are numb, especially when i’m sleeping on my side and shoulders. I think I have beginning stages of carpel tunnel.
I guess i’m kind of a wreck right now.
I was wondering what videos you suggest i begin with. I currently just do regular stretches my PT gave me to do, but watching your video makes me feel like i can take care of everything going through the yoga moves you teach. Can you please suggest some videos for me?
    Thanks,
    Dennis

  32. hi i have seen some of your back pain clips on you tube. which seem nice and gentle.which suit me.but i wish to find how to buy them in the uk.
    thanks.

  33. I started your 3 weight loss practices (although I repeat 1 and 2 mostly) about a month ago. Due to my schedule I am not always consistent, however I have noticed that the belly fat including the “muffin top” are being reduced significantly. I love the feeling after I am done.
How long should it take for my heels to touch the floor in downward facing dog? when I pedal out, I can not get them to be flat to the floor. Love your videos, Thank you

  34. Courtney,
I am 237 pounds. Recently I found you on You tube. The first time I practiced with your weight loss for beginners 22 minute video I cried afterwards. You said we have access to choices-you are one of those choices I have made.
You won’t see me as a subscriber mainly because I am private (and poor) and I like to do things in my own time. It has been about 3 weeks now of me doing days one and two, I feel myself getting better with each session. I can almost touch my toes!! Ha ha.
Thank you-the time you have taken to help me (and countless others) has made a difference in my life.
    Jill

  35. Hi Courtney! I’m on day 10 of practicing yoga through ur YouTube videos. I can say “I can definitely touch my toes now” lol your videos have been a great help. 39. I recently got off drugs and yoga has become my new drug! Im still on power yoga beginners #3 but I just want to say thank you for making these amazing videos and for being such a positive influence on me through this journey. This has easily become my favorite part of the day.

    1. Wooooohooooo! Yoga is the best drug 🙂 Gotta love the very special combination of breath and movement for the mind, body, and spirit. Keep reflecting that positivity to both yourself and the world around you. I am looking forward to a special Positive Intention Series that will kick off in September. Keep an eye open for emails from me about it soon! 🙂

  40. Hi Courtney! Finally took the time today to explore your website, my best friend Sarah and I have been following your Psychetruth yoga videos for over a year now. Your 3 day yoga challenge were the first yoga practices we had ever tried, and we fell in love with the first video. You are our favourite yoga teacher, we both practice daily and 80% of the time it is one of your lessons. You are an inspiration and an everyday joy, your videos always excite me in my practice, and because of you I can finally accomplish a king pigeon pose! Thanks for all you do, you teach me how to grow and strengthen my muscles, increase flexibility, and become more in tune with my highest self. 🙂

  41. Thank you very much. I’m 52 years old nurse. I never had time for my self, and was living with back and shoulder constant pain for a years. An about 2 to 3 weeks i found on you tube one of your beginners weight loss power yoga and i start to practice. Guess what two days straight i had good sleep and only today realized that i did not had any pain. Thank you so much for your dedication and posting your videos. i live in NY. From now one i will follow your yoga classes for rest of my life. I been depressed last 4 years since i lost my oldest daughter in car accident. Even my depression is getting better. Last evening my son mentioned that” mom you not depressed anymore and your much calm and smiling. Mom what happen. I my respond was yoga. Thank you so much you changed my being.

    1. Oh, what an inspiring message to receive and also I’d like to express my sympathy for the loss of your daughter. Thank you for sharing, Shaira. I can imagine that as a nurse and a mom you are very good at taking care of people – and I’m sure they need, love, and appreciate it! I am happy to hear you are taking care of yourself now too 🙂 I look forward to continue sharing yoga goodness with you.

  42. Hi, Courtney, I’m from Azerbaijan. I’m doing Yoga almost 1 year. And thanks for your videos, I love yoga so much. I have some problems with my arm and neck muscles. They are weak. And I can’t do some poses. There is not yoga courses or teachers. Can you give me some advice ?

    1. Hi Narman, Thanks for writing in with your question! I think this video will help you navigate the problems you are experiencign in your arms and neck. [https://youtu.be/4oSrUMSvaiA?list=PLvP8YsX0ebXZBNfbQzyF4LxdemdPZoU1B] Let me know how it works for you and any follow up questions you may have.

  43. Hey Courtney! I just started looking through your videos and I am already hooked! I am a college student at BYU, so your 20 minute classes are perfect to squeeze into my day. I have been doing a Paleo diet to try to lose some weight, but I also wanted to add some sort of yoga to help that along. I gain most of my weight on my thighs, glutes, and lower abdominals and I’m not super heavy either. I am only 155 lbs. I really like your Beginners Yoga for Weight Loss Blast Belly Fat Core Strength Yoga and Back Pain Relief Class, but do you have any recommendations that would help most with losing weight in my specific trouble areas? Also, my husband is wanting to tone everything (he doesn’t have weight to lose really though), do you have any videos that focus on just toning? I appreciate it SO much and I LOVE your yoga. Thank you for all you do. =)

  44. Gracias por Los videos… My Back is feeling much better. Best wishes and thank you for putting forth the effort to share your knowledge.

    Puta vida machita

  45. Hello, I stumbled across one of your videos on YouTube which I did with my injured teenage son. He is a goalie and really enjoyed the hip stretches. He currently has a hurt shoulder and upper back – like a broken wing, from a biking accident. Do you have any other videos that can help him safely stretch those body parts. please email if you need more info. Cheers, Lisa

  46. Namaste Courtney!
Your yoga videos are awesome. I am following your videos from last one year. I feel so relaxed after doing exercise by seeing your yoga video. I really appreciate you for your good work.

    Thanks
    Rajni

  47. Hi Courtney thanks for taking the time to upload all the videos, which I began today. I enjoy your simple instructions for beginners, with tips that really help. I’ve just set up a yoga practice space in my home office (Brisbane Australia) with the aim to get very little writing done, but lots of yoga.

  48. Bless you Courtney. Recently I have been going to an acupuncturist for chronic lower back pain. I have three ruptured lower discs and I shattered my L1 two years. She suggested I try yoga. Not wanting to be intimidated by going out to classes, I found your lessons on youtube. So far, it is five days since I started and I am definitely balancing on that “first stone”. Finally I feel I have found something I enjoy doing. Your lessons are making a big difference even in these early days. Thanks and regards – Christine

  49. Hi Courtney – i followed the yoga for back pain video and really loved it – my back pain went from a 3 to a 2 … now it’s on the mend, so I just need to take it easy for a few days.. sometimes easier said than done! Thanks again! David

  50. Hi Courtney I viewed one of your videos on YouTube this morning . Gentle stretches. I suffer from fibromyalgia, and recently gave up my job of 34 years. I want to regain my strength and health to the best level it can be. I enjoyed the video and your directions very much. I will view again for sure.

  51. Hi Courtney!
I came across your yoga tutorials on the PsycheTruth channel on YouTube a few months ago when I first started searching about Yoga and ways to begin incorporating it into my life. I’m 28 and live in India, and even though I could easily join a class or yoga group here, I prefer to practice at home and am immensely thankful for your videos. 🙂 I recently got interested in adopting a healthier lifestyle, and I love your tutorials because you go slow and take the time to explain things well. I have watched many other yoga teachers but prefer your style and guidance the most, which is how I came to discover this website. Thanks so much for your help and stay blessed 🙂

  52. Thank you for having such amazing accessible videos. I have been wanting to practice yoga for a very long time and always felt discouraged because others in classes were so advanced and I felt that it was taught more advanced. Now I am able to practice in the comfort of my home. Day 1 and I already feel enlightened and better about being comfortable and starting my journey to a better and positive healthy life, embracing all of nature. Wonderful teacher!

  53. Hi Courtney, A few years ago I did an inadvertent split routine while skiing and ended up with nagging hip and knee pain. No doctor or physio helped. I started with basic stretch videos by Jen Hilman and then your work which really resonated with me. I am so grateful that you are here, thanks so much!

  54. I wanted to change my email address to continue getting email from you but all I succeeded in doing was unsubscribing my previous email address. HELP!

  55. Hi Courtney,
I’ve been very flexible all my life and have done all kinds of exercise (modern dance, pilates, cross training, zumba, etc, etc.) But I always felt yoga was a bit boring. Not anymore! I’ve been practicing with all your videos on Psyche Truth for several months and have lots of fun doing so. You are very clear in your direction and are very gentle in your instruction. It integrates perfectly into my meditation routine. I’m ready to move on to intermediate but can’t find a playlist for that level. Do you have a link I can check? Thanks!

  56. Hi,Courtney

  63. Hi Courtney
It was my 2nd day in a row when I practised your You tube video ,Power Yoga for Beginners. Thanks. I don’t have enough words to appreciate. Just wondering that how many months a person should do the beginners before reaching to intermediate. thanks and Namaste……..Raj

  64. Hi Courtney. Thanks for all the videos on Yoga. I have been doing the backbends for the last 1 week and i managed to do the bow pose after only 4 days of practice. Thanks a lot. And your videos are so helpful.

  65. I am visiting in Florida and came across you on YouTube, I loved your beginner power yoga and will stay at this level for a while, I have taken yoga from Kate Stewart in Vermont but she relocated to Tucson, wonderful as well.

  66. Dear Courtney,
    Namaste!
I watched one of Your yoga videos on weight loss and also tried to do yoga myself. Beginning was easy but later I understood that I am so far yet to be called as a “yogi” athlete. It was the video on psychetruth on youtube…
Anyways, I had one question though, You are so slim and looking wonderful, in order to loose weight should I do jogging or only yoga for weight loss would be sufficient?
My weight is 57 kg, I wish I become 52 kg.
    Please suggest me something!
    Thank You!

  67. Dear Miss Courney Bell

  68. Hi Courtney,
A few colleagues and myself practice to your videos at work lunch break and I also follow from Youtube at home. Will explore more of them in the new year. contemplating a transition from martial arts for fitness to yoga, may take awhile, but following your lead helps. Thanks for being out there.

  69. Courtney,
Hi, I’m a former college football player who played at Kent State. They had us doing Yoga after games every now and again and I didn’t take it seriously, I’ve been watching your videos now for 2 months and it’s changed my life mentally and physically. Thank you for doing what you do! I wish I had not taken Yoga lightly when I was younger!

  70. I’m a 50 y/o disabled veteran. I started doing your “Yoga For Weight Loss & Flexibility Day 1 Workout – Fat Burning 20 Minute Beginners Class” this week. I just want to thank you. I’ve only been doing your workout for a week, but I’m already feeling a difference. Thanks again for all your good work.

  71. Hi Courtney, I stumbled across your videos out of desperation. I suffer from Fibromyalgia, depression and anxiety. I work full time and are too fatigued to go to a gym. I’ve always been interested in yoga and in fact have bought some videos. I’m very flexible concidering my age and health issues. You just seem to make it so simple and relaxing. How can I stick to it? IM about 30 pounds over weight and feel the extra weight in my knees where I also have arthritis. I have arthritis in my shoulders and neck as well. I will be turning 50 in May 2016, and I have a family history of diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, heart disease and the list goes on. Thankfully I don’t have any of those illnesses and I want to make sure I don’t fall into that same circle. I would appreciate some advise as to get a yoga membership. I went on to join yours but it said it was not avaliable. There are no yoga classes were I live, only Zumba and that’s too harsh on my body. Please help. Thank you

  72. Hi Courtney, my name is Kim Evans. I’m Cindy Evans daughter in law. My daughter, Madeline who is 18, was just diagnosed with dysautonomia, a disorder of her autonomic nervous system. It has profoundly affected her life on a daily basis. Part of her treatment is horizontal exercise I was wondering if any of your programs would be mild enough for her? She has blood pressure issues, problems with blood pooling in her legs upon standing (which is why they want her to participate in horizontal exercise). Her therapists and doctors suggested yoga but most days she’s too sick to leave the house. Right now, she’s in the hospital at hillcrest. Your program appealed to me because it was something we could do at home. Let me know what you think. Thank you so much!

  73. I am 42 years old and I have thyroid gland function problems for over 20 years, I used to be to 55kg, now I am 86kg. I tried your video series last year for 2 weeks, it really worked, I started loosing little bit of weight and happy again. One day I hurt my hip while doing yoga, so I stopped doing it. But I can’t get your videos out of my head, so decided to try again because your yoga instructions give me courage and hope. It is not easy doing it because I am overwieght, but I am trying my best to feel better and happy again. Thank you Courtney for your wonderful work.

  74. Hi Courtney,
I came across your YouTube clips in January and have practiced for 25 mins 5 days per week. At the start I couldn’t see myself being able to complete the whole 25 minutes without collapsing and now I can! I am 50 years old and stronger than I have been for a long time. Thank you Courtney.❤

  75. Hi, I just started out it’s only my 3rd day, But i really enjoy it and keep doing it, until i can move forward to the core.

  76. Hi!
I have just finished one of your videos on YouTube and I am so happy and energized. You are amazing yoga teacher. Your videos are great.

  80. Hi Courtney! I found you on youtube about a year ago and I had never attempted yoga before. I wasn’t too enthusiastic about it but the moment I moved into a pigeon pose I was in love. I’ve been practicing along with your videos off and on for a while but I’m now ready to dedicate myself to daily practice and improvement. I’m already so much more flexible and my mental state has greatly improved. You inspired me to be the best I can be and I can’t wait to master the backbend and learn how to do a headstand! Much love. Namaste. <3

  81. Hello Courtney – I am a 54 year old woman who started yoga on psycetruth yoga about six months ago after my Pilates teacher left – love your videos and the information that you provide witching them. Please continue and please more information on the poses during the videos are very welcome- thank you Kelly, Houghton, Michigan

  82. Dear Courtney

I’ve been using some of your videos off YouTube for over a year now. I scoured the site looking for Yoga instruction, but yours are heads above the majority out there. I feel that yours are about the practice and not about the teacher like so many others are. So thank you for that, and congratulations for finding a way to connect through the medium of YouTube in a real way.

I have some experience of yoga many years ago, and have enjoyed getting back into it. I look forward to going through your videos as I progress.

Best wishes and good luck with all that you do.

    Cheers!

    Daniel

  83. Courtney: I am a subscriber of yours. I am 78 and still run and do Yoga. There was a woman who does yoga with us at work loved your No Shirt and wanted to know more about parusia…….What does it mean…Is it a clothing line….Is it spelled right?????

    1. Hi Richard! Purusha People is a clothing company. It’s been a while since I’ve shopped their website but I really have enjoyed the outfit I got from them last year. Great quality, positive message, and very comfy 🙂

I’m excited to share that I have lots of new content and new video programs to release beginning in August.

A few come to mind that will support you in your running. Will love to have your feedback!

I’ll be in touch beginning in August for the new and improved Yoga practices!

  84. I took a class of yours on YouTube that used lots of pillows and props and was a more restorative yoga. I get severe pain with any form
of exercise, but I could do that one. Do you have anymore of that type? Thanks

  85. Hi Courtney,
I’m thankful I found you after searching for “yoga for beginners” on YouTube. I have done your beginners video for burning belly fat and have found it to be challenging but very doable and I feel great afterwards. Can’t wait to learn more about your site. Thanks so much!

  86. I have two damaged discs from a fall. I didn’t want steroid shots or surgery, so I started practicing yoga with your YouTube videos to relieve lower back pain. At least three times a week for the past two years I’ve continued my yoga routines with your videos. No surgery. No shots. When I overdo activities, I just stretch through one of your routines. You’ve improved my quality of life! Thank you so much.

  89. Dear Courtney,

Hereby, I would like to thank you for the great yoga workouts. I started with one of the workouts for lower back pain. I especially like your calm, patient way of guiding me through the exercises and explaining what muscles are stretching and why it is important. It really helps me to get a better feeling and control of my body. My back already feels a lot more energenic after just 13 minutes of your exercises. Thank you very much, I’m grateful for your investment on making these video’s! Kind regards, Anja

  90. Good morning, Courtney.
I’m trying to get to Zoe’s lessons and there doesn’t seem to be a live link. Please help.
    Thanks,
    Marilyn Wenger

  91. Hi Courtney, I want you to know that I am celebrating the first year of yoga practise this week. 🙂 I am so excited about it. One of the best years of my life. The year of yoga. The year of a positive change. I am so happy that I have started practising yoga. And you were my first ( virtual ) yoga teacher. I have tried your yoga sequence and I fell to love with it. You showed me how amazing thing is yoga. I tried this sequence a year ago. Wow! It was an incredible year. Thank you Courtney! Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! You showed me the way. Namaste

    1. Wow! Thank you so much for sharing! Happy One Year (and now a couple of months) Anniversary! I know how it feels to fall in love with the practices…. so it gives me a big smile to hear that my virtual classes shared that with you! Namaste.

  92. Hi Courtney I have watched your video,

    http://www.johnchintaichi.co.uk

    1. Hi John, thanks for writing and I’m sorry it took me so long to reply. I am happy to hear your appreciation for the perspectives I share in the video. Let me know if you are interested in developing a more comprehensive program for incorporating Yoga and Tai Chi. I would love to work on that.

  93. HI Courtney,

Thank you so much for the videos. I have some issues though- I feel very weak and I’ve been doing Yoga for 5 days now

  94. Hi Courtney. I love your videos! And yes, I watch them because you are sooooo damned hot! Wish I could meet you someday. Do you have an email address to get in contact with you for messages and questions? Thanks. John

  95. Thank you, Courtney for the short yoga sessions. Most sessions are way too long for a full time care giver to take part in. This really helps me relax.

    1. Hi Mary, thanks for writing. Yes, it is important to take time to take care of our self. I am a big believer in the power of self care! I am happy to hear that you are taking a fraction of time to spend on yourself. It can make a world of difference 🙂

  96. hi Courtney
just did one of ur 20 minutes morning stretch from youtube and love how i feel.
i am a 41 year old breastncancer survivor , looking for a workout that wont let my right hand and arm take much weight and pressure.
plz plz plz suggest something for me
    love
    sonia

    1. Hi Sonia, thanks for writing. I recently made a practice video for a student who is healing from a wrist injury. It is a 15 minute standing pose practice with shoulder stretch variations. There is no weight bearing for the hands. If you’d like to access the video I am currently taking donations 🙂 as I put in a lot of work to create/edit/publish each of my private videos. There is a donation button on the top of my home page. Let me know if you have any questions. I’m glad you are finding strength in yoga!

  97. Hi Courtney,

Ive been following your yoga videos lately, in the hope that I can lose the 13 kg that I gained in about 2 years as a result of extreme stress; that stress has severely messed up my metabolism, so I know it wont be quick, but I realised that surely you do more than yoga to keep your body trim? I just cant believe that I can lose so much wt and reshape my body by yoga alone, much as I love it. Please can you share some fitness tips in order to lose wt? Other things you do apart from yoga? And what kind of diet you follow to maintain your wt and stay strong? Also, do you do yoga daily? How many hours a day? It would be so helpful and inspirational if you could share all that with your viewers. Many thanks.

    1. Hi Safia, thanks for writing. You bring up some great questions! I’m happy to share more about my personal routines and diet. I’m going to make a video talking about this, and will post it on my blog. If you like, join my Facebook group called Essential Yoga. I will be keeping that updated as well.

  98. Hello Courtney just finished your 30 min yoga for back pain and sciatica…I did modify the pose on the wall. Was able to get my foot position but not yet knee bent. I know I have a long road ahead but motivated to stop pain meds. I also have herniated disks lower back. So thank you. Will continue on a daily routine if possible. My pain level is at an 8. Gayl

  99. Hello, I have been wanting to try yoga for a while now, I just tried it this morning for the first time with your weight loss video on YouTube. I didn’t think I would feel my muscles doing what looked like simple exercises, but I am feeling it and it’s great! Thank you for sharing your videos!

  100. Hi Ashley, that’s great to hear! So many people think it either looks too easy or looks too hard, and so they never try – never get to feel how great it is. So, I’m glad you did! 🙂

  101. Hi Courtney,

I love your “Beginners Power Yoga for weight loss”. Breaking a sweat while remaining calm. I’m not that flexible and just recently started practicing yoga. How can I improve my forward bend and avoid bending from the shoulders while trying to get my head to the ground.

    1. Hi Kay! Thanks for writing. Keeping up with your practice is the best way to improve your forward bends. Yes, there are some specific tips I can share for getting out of the shoulder portion or the stretch and getting into your hips more. I will keep you updated as I am developing a program where you can stay in touch with me as I continue making videos and instructing classes for people to reach their goals in Yoga.

  102. Howdy Courtney. I wanted to let you know how much I’ve enjoyed your Yoga videos. Even if the do contain excruciating boat poses. As primarily a runner, I find by following your videos my running times have improved and soreness is not nearly as bad or as long.
BTW, keep the curly hair. : )
    Thanks

    1. That’s great to hear! Excruciating boat pose?! Couldn’t be! I’ve never heard anything like that before, lol. Yes… it is excruciating for a while, but your practice will continue developing the strength and flexibility needed to make it a breeze! Also, thanks for the vote – definitely keeping the curls!

  103. Hi Courtney, I was looking for leg stretches on Youtube, and saw one of your videos within the list of my search. Yoga was never a thought, but being a guy, your beauty was captivating to me. So “click”, and your angelic, narrative voice soon gave me the encouragement and motivation to give yoga a try. It has been the best thing that I could have ever done for a full body workout and stretch routine. Although I find you beautiful in each of your videos (straight hair, curly hair, long or short, maybe even wearing a cute western cowgirl hat someday), it is your wonderful style of yoga teachings that keeps me coming for more. Thank you Courtney
