Yogacurrent began with a vision to "be in multiple places at once," teaching effective, methodical, and insightful yoga sessions for people to learn from the comfort of their own home.

Focusing on musculoskeletal action, alignment and joint articulation, the methods create unique, far-reaching tone that you can feel throughout the body - in stillness and in movement.

Dynamic Stretching and Balance

Train with dynamic stretching and balance The exercises below include dynamic stretching and balance. They will help to stabilize the pelvis and tone the abdominal core. They can also be used to heal sacroiliac joint dysfunction by relieving tension in the hips, improving circulation, and relaxing the nerves. Dynamic balance occurs when the body […]

Daily Yoga Vasisthasana Preparation

My featured routine this month is a Daily Yoga practice to prepare for Vasisthasana. This routine sculpts the thoracic chest and shoulders with balance, strength, and alignment. This is the foundation for developing and toning the more advanced position, Vasisthasana.   Honestly, I feel so happy and grateful to be practicing yoga again at home. […]

Starting Yoga At Home

Now that you have considered different times of day for yoga, and you are discovering when yoga can fit into your life… the question becomes, “Now that I’m here on my yoga mat or rug, how will I know what to do?” Start yoga at home This next stage is about figuring out what you […]

When To Do Yoga

Time to get on your mat? When cultivating a yoga practice at home, one of the most consistent questions is, “What is a good time for yoga?” I think this question is so often asked aloud, because it is something that needs to be considered (and reconsidered) pretty regularly. And even when you find a […]

Hey Courtney! I just signed up for the week pass. I’m interested in doing the year membership but I wanted to start with the sunrise series and proceed from there. Unfortunately, I either don’t have access to it or I simply cannot find it. My account has already been drafted. Could you help me please? Thanks so much and I am so looking forward to starting my journey!

Hi Shelly, I’m so glad you are starting the sunrise series yoga journey. It’s up and running now and I hope you are enjoying the videos 🙂 I look forward to continuing the program with you!

I started your videos about 4 months ago and did them consistently for about a month. At this time I noticed, quite rapidly, my balance, posture, breathing and over all well being, began to improve, not to mention visible weight loss. It made me excited. Alas the Christmas season and I got a bit slack. But, back into it again and I have to say; a huge thank you to you Courtney. You make yoga easy to add to ones daily routine for those not keen on group classes. I aim to keep yoga as a part of my life as it also helps me combat my depression and anxiety. So thank you and Namaste.

Jai! (that is an exclamation of victory!) Thank you for sharing, and it is my pleasure to make yoga accessible. There’s a natural ebb and flow to practicing, and I am happy to hear you back in the flow 🙂

Getting any exercise with a 5 month baby is difficult. your 20 min sessions are perfect as they are about the length of baby nap time. I do the beautiful morning routine after breakfast and relaxation routine at night. I am wanting to add in your weight loss routines but am unsure how far to push my body 5 months after childbirth? My sister is a fitness coach and advices on the cautious side, would three 20 min sessions a day be overly ambitious?

Hi Zoe, Hooray for having a morning and evening routine that you like! As for adding in a weight loss routine, I say go for it! I understand the side of caution, but you are the one who knows your own body best, and it sounds to me like you are ready for more 🙂 Three 20-minute sessions a day is absolutely a well-balanced practice. Keep in touch, and keep up the progress.

Hello, I have been a Therapeutic Yoga Instructor for 25 years. I have been a yoga
    practitioner for 34 years.
I started with yoga due to chronic migraines. I needed something more peaceful than loud music aerobics.
I joined your site because I just want some one to teach me for a change. You are younger than me, but one day you may know what I mean.
Thanks for all your hard work, and I am ordering one of the yoga tops! Thank you, and I will be watching. Blessings, Deedee

      Hi Deedee,
Thank you for your kind note! It’s true, we all have things to share with… and learn from… one another. I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to share with you!

Thank you for being here. I just started 5 days ago and must say, though at times it feels like you’re killing me, lol I truly appreciate you giving me the chance to learn comfortably and privately in my own home.
